REVIEW OF "THE ART OF HAPPINESS"
The book begins with the lines "I believe that the purpose of our life is to seek happiness.". Indeed this book help us in our endeavour to be happy with our life. It contains the messages, the teachings and principles of living of his Holiness Dalai Lama. The message are delivered to us by the author Howard C. cutler. He is a psychiatrist by profession. He is also a public speaker as well as best selling writer. He had inked books like The Art of Happiness at Work and The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World. He has done great services to mankind by spreading the message of the Dalai Lama in every nook and corner of the world. The opus is a self help book. Indeed it is a handbook for living as it caption say.

STYLE
The Art of Happiness is based on the interview that the author had with His Holiness. It contains the thought of Dalai Lama on varoius issues that a human beings faced in his day to day life. The author tries to supplement the thought of His Holiness by living examples as well as numerous studies/experiments that are being carried out by human behaviouralists, social scientists as well as sociologists.  The author is successful in his attempts to make the lofty teaching more comprhensible to us. Written in a friendly spirit with a view a help everyone find happiness in his or her life. You will have a feeling of warm, tenderness as well as compassion of Dalai Lama. Simple words are utilised throughout the book in order to makes us happy as well as understand the point. "The turning toward happiness as a valid goal and the conscious decision to seek happiness in a systemic manner can profoundly change the rest of our lives" is one of the most profound line that you will  find when you pick up this book. Many other wise lines or noble truths permeate throughout the book.

RELEVANCE
Everybody wants to be happy. However very few are able to find happiness in thier life. This book will really help those who desire to be happy. It spreads the message of the Dalai Lama to everyone. The time tested wisdom of Buddha are explain to us in a simple manner as well as in modern version. It seeks to reconcile the science of human psychology and the wisdom of Buddhist to gain happiness. It contains the 4 factor of happiness. The path to happiness are enlisted in a very pragmatic manner. It cover myraid themes like marriage, relatinship ( cycle of relationship to be more precise), thought on change, importance or necessity of change in our life. It also touches on the importance of suffering. It is the Suffering which makes a better life, has been pointed in this book. The virtues of Compassion, patience and tolerance are emphasis throughout this book. You will also gain a new perspective of your enemy after reading this book. In short it encompasses almost all the issue that a normal person encountered in his day to day life.  Well, all in all a great book to read, the wisdom contains are superb, the presentation spell bounding as well the cover of the book is eye catching. A must read for everyone. I will rate it 8 out of 10. Enjoy it.
